Summary
Political Economy or Political Economics is the study of political phenomena, political behavior, and institutions with tools developed and used mostly in economics. This course starts by introducing the fundamentals of rational choice based theories and concludes by discussing current research topics. Participants will learn a) building blocks and fundamental concepts of theories in Political Economy and b) How to apply theories to explain a range of empirical phenomena. The course will be taught in English.
